The National Climate Predictions & Projections (NCPP) Platform works to advance the provision of regional and local information about the evolving climate and to accelerate its use in adaptation planning and decision making.
"Suppose you are a city planner, regional water manager, or wildlife conservation specialist being asked to include the potential impacts of climate variability and change in your risk management and planning efforts. What climate information would you use?" Sometimes the proliferation of new downscaled datasets can seem overwhelming.
NCPP and members of our Climate Science Advisory Team, including many of the most prominent members of the downscaling science community, address this problem in a Forum article in Eos, the weekly newspaper of the American Geophysical Union. Published: November 12, 2013. Link to open access article
